Study Pathways for 2025 Graduates

 

  1. Pathways for HKDSE Students

1.         Admission to Local Universities

 

  • Latest situation regarding the admission of students to local universities via the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) :

 

Percentage of students being admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of HKU / CUHK / HKUST

55%

Percentage of students being offered government-funded  bachelor’s degree programmes

88%

 

  • Students who performed excellently in the HKDSE have been admitted to pursue highly competitive programs, including Medicine, Quantitative Finance, Law, Business Administration (Law) and Double Degree in Law, Double Degree in Arts and Science (Financial Technology), Insurance, Finance and Actuarial Science, Financial Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (Systems and Technology), Earth and Environmental Sciences, Space Science and Geographic Information Science, various Double Major programs, as well as Double Degree programs in Bachelor of Arts (English Studies) and Bachelor of Education (English Language Education).

 

  • A total of 2 students received offers from the University of Hong Kong under the “School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme” for their 2025-26 degree programs prior to the release of HKDSE results. They will be enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program.

 

2.     Admission to Other Universities

 

  • A total of 4 students were admitted to Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Fudan University through the “Principal’s Nomination Scheme” without entrance examinations.

  • Approximately 18 students were admitted to well-known overseas universities to pursue bachelor’s degree programs, including Imperial College London and the University of Manchester in the UK, and the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, Monash University, and the University of Queensland in Australia.

 

  1. Pathways for NCUK IFY Students

1.         Admission to UK universities

  • All the IFY students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of United Kingdom (UK) universities via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) of UK.  All students have been admitted by universities being within the world-wide ranking of top 20 (QS World University Rankings 2025).

  • Around 90% of our IFY students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of Russell Group universities, including the University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of Bristol, University of Leeds and University of Birmingham, etc.

​​​​​​​

  • Programmes to which our IFY students have been admitted include Veterinary Medicine, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Law, Global Business, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

2.         Admission to Other Universities

 

  • Students have used their IFY results to apply to universities outside the UK. They have been admitted to bachelor’s degree programmes at prestigious Australian universities, including the University of New South Wales, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, and Monash University, all of which are members of the Group of Eight.

On the whole, around 92% students have been admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes of local / Mainland / overseas universities.  The percentage of students admitted to the bachelor’s degree, sub-degree or post-secondary programmes of local / Mainland / overseas universities or tertiary institutes is around 95.5%.
