Pui Kiu College Promotes Patriotic Education in Conjunction with the September 3 Victory Day Commemoration

Pui Kiu College organised a series of activities to deepen students’ patriotic awareness on 3 September 2025 to mark the Victory Day of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

The school arranged for student representatives to attend the official commemoration ceremony at the Hong Kong City Hall. In addition, the Flag-Raising Team of the Secondary Section was invited to perform the flag-raising ceremony at the Patriotic Education Support Centre. The entire school also watched a live broadcast of the commemorative event, accompanied by teachers’ guided explanations and a specialised historical lecture delivered by experts. These learning experiences helped strengthen students’ understanding of the nation’s development and the history of the War of Resistance.

Pui Kiu College integrates patriotic education organically into everyday learning. Through participation in official ceremonies, in-class discussions, and experiential activities, the school aims to nurture students’ national identity both cognitively and emotionally, pass on the national spirit, and foster a strong sense of social responsibility.
